Men's College Basketball
St. Francis (NY) at Rutgers
When: 5:00 PM ET, Sunday, November 23, 2014
Where: Louis Brown Athletic Center, Piscataway, New Jersey

Rutgers hosts Northeast Conference preseason favorite St. Francis (N.Y.) on Sunday in the preliminary round of the Barclays Classic. It kicks off a stretch of four games over seven days for the Scarlet Knights, who come right back to host Saint Peter's on Tuesday night before taking on Vanderbilt on Friday and either Virginia or La Salle on Saturday at the Barclays Center. Rutgers is 3-0 all-time against the Terriers with the last meeting taking place on Jan. 17, 1995 and the Scarlet Knights scoring a 97-50 victory.

Rutgers bounced back from a 70-53 season-opening loss at George Washington to defeat another NEC school, Fairleigh Dickinson, 61-44, on Wednesday. The Scarlet Knights led by 21 at halftime but needed a 14-4 run in the final four minutes to secure the win after the visiting Knights cut the deficit to seven. Rutgers has played each of the first two games without 6-foot-9 senior Kadeem Jack, an NBA draft prospect who averaged 14.3 points and 6.8 rebounds last season but has been slowed by a thumb injury.

TV: 5 p.m. ET, Big Ten Network Plus

ABOUT ST. FRANCIS (N.Y.) (0-2): The Terriers have lost at Georgetown (83-62) and at home to Army (74-71). Senior forward Jalen Cannon leads the team in scoring (12.5) and rebounding (7.5) and was a first team all-NEC pick last season. St. Francis has outrebounded both of its opponents, including a 45-40 edge over Georgetown when the Terriers grabbed 22 offensive rebounds.

ABOUT RUTGERS (1-1): Guard Bishop Daniels, a transfer from Miami (Fla.), leads the team in scoring (12.0), including 18 in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson. Senior Myles Mack is an all-Big Ten caliber performer who is averaging 11.5 points and has dished out 10 assists. Sophomore forward Junior Etou has helped pick up the slack created by Jack's injury and had his first double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson.

1. Rutgers is averaging 17 turnovers per game and is shooting just 26.7 percent (8-of-30) from 3-point range.

2. Etou has grabbed nine offensive rebounds in two games.

3. Cannon needs 19 points to reach 1,200 for his career.
