Men's College Basketball
Cincinnati at Central Florida
When: 7:00 PM ET, Tuesday, February 9, 2016
Where: CFE Federal Credit Union Arena, Orlando, Florida

Cincinnati, which finds itself in a fourth-place tie with Tulsa in the American Athletic Conference and also in the middle of NCAA Tournament bubble talk, will try to bounce back from a 63-59 loss at Memphis when it visits UCF on Tuesday. It marks the third game in seven days for the Bearcats, who are 6-0 all-time against the Knights and have won both of the two previous meetings in Orlando.

The Bearcats had won four straight games and six of seven before the Saturday loss to the Tigers and drew the ire of head coach Mick Cronin for a rare sluggish first-half effort, falling behind 39-24 at the break. Cincinnati closed to within 56-55 on a 3-pointer by junior guard Troy Caupain with 1:55 left, but went 0-for-7 beyond the arc down the stretch and could never quite climb out of the big first half hole. "That team that played in the first half, I don't know who they are," Cronin told the Cincinnati Enquirer afterward. "Wasn't my team. I asked them at halftime, 'Where's my team?' In the first half that's as bad as we've played all year, not even close."

TV: 7 p.m. ET, ESPNews

ABOUT CINCINNATI (17-7, 7-4 AAC): Caupain, a 6-4 junior guard, leads the team in scoring (11.7) with senior guard Farad Cobb (11.4) right, behind but it has been the play of 6-8 sophomore forward Gary Clark that has been drawing notice recently. Clark, who is averaging 10.7 points and 8.7 rebounds, is coming off back-to-back double-doubles, posting 16 points and 13 rebounds in an 88-57 win over USF and finishing with 15 points and 14 rebounds in the loss at Memphis. He is the first Bearcat to post consecutive double-doubles since Justin Jackson had three straight in December of 2013.

ABOUT UCF (11-10, 5-5): The Knights have lost four of their last five games, including a 62-60 heart-breaker to Temple on Saturday. UCF began celebrating when sophomore swingman A.J. Davis's putback at the buzzer was initially ruled good forcing overtime, but the basket was later overturned by officials after they watched replay. "It hurts," UCF coach Donnie Jones told reporters. "I know those guys are hurting in the locker room. You could hear a pin drop. We'll regroup and we have to. The good thing is we have a chance to play on Tuesday."

1. Davis leads UCF in scoring (12.9) and rebounding (6.1) and is second in assists (3.1).

2. Cobb is second in the AAC in 3-point shooting percentage (42.0) and is tied for second in 3-pointers made per game (2.5).

3. UCF G Adonys Henriquez, who is second on the team in scoring (10.1), is expected to miss two weeks with a mild MCL sprain.

PREDICTION: Cincinnati 59, UCF 53
