Men's College Basketball
Mount St. Mary's at Wake Forest
When: 7:00 PM ET, Wednesday, November 26, 2014
Where: Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Winston-Salem, North Carolina

After a promising start, the Danny Manny era at Wake Forest hit a bit of a bump in the road heading into Wednesday's game with visiting Mount St. Mary's. The Demon Deacons and their new head coach delivered wins against UNC Asheville and Tulane to open the season, but then fell flat in a 30-point loss to Arkansas before falling to Iona at home. "Mount St. Mary's is a talented team that has some good size and some good guards," Manning told the media after his team regrouped by beating Nicholls State by 27 points Monday. "We have to come out and be ready to play from the start."

The Mountaineers head into Winston-Salem on a high from their first victory of the season, a 73-69 road win over Bucknell. Jamion Christian's team tried its hand at No. 1 Arizona to start the season and came out on the wrong end of a 78-55 score before falling to UMES, a team it beat last season en route to an NCAA Tournament berth. The Mountaineers are struggling to create points after losing their top three scorers from last season, but the 50 percent shooting against Bucknell was a marked improvement over the 32.6 percent of the first two games.

TV: 7 p.m. ET, ESPN3

ABOUT MOUNT ST. MARY'S (1-2): With the departure of Rashad Whack and Julian Norfleet, both of whom averaged over 17 points last season, the Mountaineers of the Northeast Conference have turned to Kristijan Krajina and Byron Ashe to lead the offense. Krajina had 16 points and Ashe 10 against Bucknell, but it was junior forward Gregory Graves, who has seen his minutes increase with each game, who provided the biggest boost, scoring 16 points after notching 10 total in the two losses. Andrew Smeathers, a 6-8 guard-forward who saw limited playing time in two years at Butler, will become eligible to play for Mount St. Mary's on Dec. 20 at American.

ABOUT WAKE FOREST (3-2): Manning relies on Devin Thomas to carry the load offensively and the junior forward has done just that, putting up 15.2 points per game to go with 11.8 rebounds per contest, good for ninth in the nation. Thomas had ranked second nationally in rebounds per game to Auburn's Cinmeon Bowers prior to playing just 15 minutes and posting seven points and six rebounds in the win over Nicholls State. Codi Miller-McIntyre, a junior guard who averages 10.6 points, is the only other Demon Deacon averaging better than 8.6 points.

1. The game with Mount St. Mary's is the third of five straight home games for Wake Forest, which will also host Delaware State and Minnesota in the coming week.

2. The Mountaineers are winless in three tries against Wake Forest, including a 47-point defeat in the most recent meeting in 2000.

3. Thomas has posted 13 career double-doubles, which leads all active ACC players.
